There's nothing like having white, bright teeth to boost your confidence. At her offices in Manhattan and Englewood Cliffs, NJ, Dr. Lee helps patients from the New York City metro region get the whiter, brighter smiles they crave with the state-of-the-art Zoom® whitening system, designed for optimal results.
Zoom® whitening is a powerful, state-of-the-art whitening procedure that combines hydrogen peroxide gel with a special light activation process to whiten and brighten dull, yellowed or stained teeth. The unique light-activated gel treats not only the surface of the tooth but the deeper layers as well, for more consistent results and a deeper whitening that makes your smile shine.
Yes. The Zoom® whitening procedure was designed to be used in a dentist's office, so you get professional results and expert application. And because it's applied in the dentist office by a skilled professional, the risk of tooth sensitivity is decreased compared to off-the-shelf products you use at home.
No, Zoom® uses agents that are more powerful than over-the-counter products, and its light applicator enables the whitening agent to reach the deeper layers of the tooth for whiter, longer-lasting results across the entire tooth surface – even between teeth.
Before your whitening treatment, you should have your teeth cleaned to remove residue like sticky plaque and ensure the gel is able to penetrate the entire tooth evenly. A special smooth mouthguard will be inserted under your lips to keep them out of the way of the gel and ensure the activating light can reach all your teeth. After the gel is applied to your teeth, the light applicator is focused on the teeth for about 15 minutes. Once treatment is complete, the mouthguard will be removed and the gel will be removed from your teeth.
That depends on the depth of discoloration and staining; while you'll notice improvements after a single treatment, most men and women opt for a series of three treatments to see optimal effects.
